Thank you for your interest in joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA) team! We appreciate your interest in helping us make a positive impact on the lives of young children and look forward to learning more about you.

 

Our teaching staff provide high-quality programming for children ages 3–5 at elementary school sites within the City School District of Albany. As a member of our team, you will follow the City School District of Albany academic calendar.

 

For the 2026–2027 school year, the employment period is August 24, 2026, through June 25, 2027, followed by an unpaid academic break from June 28, 2027, through August 20, 2027. While our Universal Pre-K (UPK) program does not operate during the summer months, BGCCA offers a variety of seasonal employment opportunities at our club locations, for our summer camp, and at our pools. These opportunities allow employees to continue working throughout the summer without an interruption in compensation and seamlessly transition back to their UPK positions when the new school year begins.

 

In addition to working the academic year, employees are paid for any unexpected school closures and holidays, totaling approximately 31–34 paid days throughout the school year.
